Storytime.

      One day as a boy walked down the street he saw someone standing in the distance.  The person was too far away but he felt like he recognized him.  He waved, the person waved back at the same time.  He laughed at the fact that both of them had thought of waving.  Interesting enough it seemed the other person was having the same revelation.  They started walking towards each other, again simultaneously.  He stopped to tie his shoes, and the other person did as well.  The boy now felt a little awkward that a stranger was copying him.  He shot a glance to the other person oddly enough at the same time as the other person looked up.  Enough was enough, he wanted to know who this copycat was.  The boy ran towards the person and the person returned the action. As he ran he noticed that the other person was also wearing jeans and a white t-shirt. This was getting too weird for the boy.  He was determined to get to the bottom of why they both were doing the same thing.  Right before he reached the other person he tripped on a rock and flew into an over-sized mirror.  The End

My Return

Hello my friends, I have returned.

What happened to me?  I wish I could say that I was off in a far away country saving the world and becoming an international hero.  I know that is what you probably expected was happening but I am sorry to tell you that that is not so much the case.  In the end, I am back and you can all stop crying yourself to sleep at night.

I've realized that I'm a master poet and Haiku writer.  Here is one:

She sings and dances

Here and there she moves with grace

She's the girl for me

(for all of you who just counted how many syllables there were to each line with their fingers to make sure I did it right, thank you for keeping me in check)

Awwwwwwwww how sweet.  A poem like that deserves an award.  Oh wait...it did.

PROM IS A DAY AWAY!  Scream and shout.

First time at my school's Prom so it should be interesting.  It's too bad we won't have a choreographed dance for it like Kevin Bacon did in Footloose.  We will be looking fly for sure.  If you see doves flying around those are the ones I let loose when I opened the doors.

Dance

Hey guys,

Do your friends dance?  You know, we can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind.  Your friends don't dance and if they don't dance, well they're no friends of mine.  (Safety Dance, Men Without Hats).

     What is dance?  Websters dictionary describes it as "to move your body in a way that goes with the rhythm and style of music that is being played."  Who is the definition of a dancer...Patrick Swayze.  Not only could he dance, but he could end a bar-fight with a matter of one punch.

He also fought Russians, and beat Chris Farley in a dancing competition.  Sadly, he is no longer with us.....

My King

Hello ladies and gentleman.

     I wanna tell you a little about someone I look up to.  He's an authority figure to me and has really helped me out in life.  Honestly, there's so much I could say about Him.  Actually....someone wrote a book about Him. He's the real deal.  Who is he?  Well actually many of you know Him.  I know Him, and I get to talk to Him everyday.  He's merciful, truthful, loving, compassionate, saving...He's, well He's my Savior.  He's my King.

     We are nearing Good Friday and Easter.  Jesus as a man died, but through His divine power He rose again.  Through his death and resurrection we are forgiven of all sins and are given the opportunity to live in Christ.  It is good to remember what happened on the cross, but then it is important to rejoice afterwards because He defeated death and death has no hold on us!

Poems, Weather, School Oh my!

Welcome back everybody.

Before I get started I'd like to quote a famous line from the poem "Ode to My Socks"...."Violent socks, my feet were two fish made of wool, two long sharks sea-blue, shot through, by one golden thread, two immense blackbirds, two cannons:  my feet were honored in this way by these heavenly socks."  *mild applause.

Let's be all basic real quick.  Can you believe this Nebraskan weather???  All four seasons in 24-hr periods...Crazy am I right...

We are nearing the end of the school semester and the claimed "senior-itis" is rearing its ugly head and people just can't even right now.  I do appreciate you for reading this.  Keep it up and I'll keep it up.


Sad news though, if I don't post tomorrow its because I'm off to a baseball game against Wahoo @ Seymour Smith Park.  Game time at 6:30, be there!

Welcome to the Show
